How to get Defiant Keys
Defiant Keys are the new currency for unlocking extra rewards at the end of the seasonal playlist activity, Defiant Battleground. These chests not only provide seasonal gear but also offer a chance to drop a red border version of a seasonal weapon, which allows players to extract a craftable pattern after collecting enough of them.
Players can earn a Defiant Key by completing various activities across the system, including:
- Lightfall missions
- The Terminal Overload activity in Neomuna
- Crucible matches
- Gambit matches
- Vanguard Ops playlist activities
- Raids
Defiant Keys can also be claimed from the War Table as a reward for gaining season reputation ranks, which are earned by completing Defiant Battleground activities. Additionally, certain ranks on the paid season pass offer Defiant Keys as a reward.
Vendor upgrades are another avenue for earning more rewards and Defiant Keys. For instance, unlocking the Queensguard’s Arsenal upgrade from the War Table provides a small chance of dropping a Defiant Key whenever you focus seasonal weapons or armor. This is particularly useful for players focusing on obtaining craftable weapons weekly.
The War Table in the HELM becomes available after players arrive on Neomuna, receive a message from Mara Sov, and complete the Defiant Battleground: EDZ activity.
